"I want my paintings to 'hug' the viewer
and make them feel like they are a
part of the picture"

A Los Angeles native, Ellen began sketching at a very early age. She started her formal training as a Music major and minored in Art at San Fernando State College, C.S.U.N. Northridge, California.   After becoming a professional singer, she continued to paint and sketch during her appearances around the United States.

Influenced by the French Impressionist school, more specifically Auguste Renoir, she developed her own style of vivid color and warmth.  Flowers, children and animals are an important part of her life and paintings.  Ellen likes to create the kind of emotional painting that
"touches the heart of the audience".  Ellen has shown at the Ruth Mayer Gallery, Laguna Beach, and the Swan Gallery, Toluca Lake, where she had a very successful One Woman Show.   She is a Member of the National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington, DC.

She has been commissioned to do several paintings because of her unique impressionist style of portraiture. Her work hangs in many private collections around the United States.

Ellen lives quietly in the hills with her husband Charlie O'Donnell and their new little girl "Bonnie, The Sassy Lassy". The garden blooms with flowers throughout the year.
